How to choose the best online casino?

This page hosts a list of online gambling sites and casinos that are not part of Gamstop. These external operators hold licences with places like Malta, Cyprus, Curacao, Gibraltar or other off-shore entities outside of the UK. Casinos that are not based in the UK should be approached with caution. These sites do not have the same level of safety as those licensed by the UKGC, as they are classified as non-Gamstop casinos. These gambling sites accept players from all over the world, including the UK, but they are not specifically targeted at British gamblers. They usually use euros as their currency rather than pounds sterling. The sole purpose of this web page is to provide feeless and straightforward self-exclusion from any gambling websites not included in Gamstop s scheme. The top list is for foreign residents living in the UK who want to play at a casino that isn t licensed by the UKGC. If you want to stop using these websites, we recommend that you manually block yourself from each casino not on the Gamstop list or explore our other self-exclusion options. For a general casino player, playing an online slot machine or live casino game for a few free spins is a great way to de-stress after work. For some people, gambling is not a casual activity--it s an addiction. Fortunately, the Gamstop scheme exists to help problem gamblers in Great Britain by allowing them to self-exclude from online casinos. If you or someone you know suffers from gambling addiction, encourage them to seek help through this program. If you re looking to gamble online, it s a smart move to sign up for Gamstop. Once you re registered, Gamstop will exclude you from all participating online gambling and casino sites. Right now, it s voluntary for casinos to register with Gamstop, so there are some that aren t included. Gamstop is a UK-based initiative, and currently, online casinos licenced in Malta, Cyprus, Curacao are not registered on Gamstop. The UKGC can’t force an individual to join the Gamstop scheme.

Euteller casinos have been the favorite gaming slots for many casino players for many years. Euteller is a service aimed at Finns, whose idea is to make it easier to pay online, and online casinos have been using this payment method for almost 15 years. Euteller casinos make use of online banking, but unlike regular bank transfers, Euteller casino is a much faster and more convenient guy for the job. One of the best things about the service is the short Euteller withdrawal duration, which is at best only a few minutes. Since Euteller is a Finnish payment method, of course the casinos that offer it are also particularly good choices for players who recognise the blue and white colour. Especially Finnish online casinos aimed exclusively at us have taken over this payment method, at least for deposits. One of the most important features of euteller-supported online casinos is that they are mostly Estonian or MGA licensed online casinos. If this didn t get your socks rolling yet, let s just say this is especially great because you can withdraw your winnings completely tax-free!

Kef Evening

The Kef evening last week was a great success, a full house at Lyric Hifi

There were three parts to the presentation.

Alex Holt, one of Kef's R&D boffins, explained the difference between R series and Reference Series. The R3 meta at £ 1899 has had rave reviews everywhere so how can the Reference One with the same number of drive units in the same configuration be £7500 ??

First of all Alex showed us the different drive units and then he let us hear the difference. OMG, so much more clarity, so much more realistic, a night and day difference everyone agreed.

KEF Reference 1 Meta: a balanced blend ...

Kef R3 Meta                                       Kef Reference One

Spot the Difference !!

Most recently Alex has been responsible for parts of Kef's new subwoofer range. These all include a Music Integrity Engine. This is a set-up system that has enhanced their capabilities in a stereo set-up, generally the weakest part of other manufacturers subwoofers.

We played the Kef LS50 W2 without a subwoofer and then added the Kube 15MIE. The transition from mid bass to deep bass was seamless, well done Alex!

This new technology is now in Kef subs from £ 599 to £ 2499

The third part to the evening was pure showing off !

Take the amazing Kef Blade 2 loudspeakers and feed them the best possible source, the Linn Klimax DSM3 feeding monobloc 500 w power amplifiers.

Comments afterwards were along the lines of "Didn't realise a hifi system could sound so good! "

Truly stunning, yours for just £ 77,000

Not sure what the next Musical Evening will be, watch this space or make sure that you're on our mailing list

NEW ARCAM RADIA HIFI SEPARATES

Here at Lyric we have been working with Arcam for over 40 years. We have a deep knowledge of the products and what the company is all about.

John Dawson, the MD for many years, came to our first shop about 1980 while visiting the fire sale that was getting rid of the last remnants of the defunct and unloved Strathearn Audio. That's another story for another time. Gentleman John bought some test gear from Strathearn and bought us some lunch.

It wasn't the lunch that led to us still loving Arcam, it's John's design expertise. Many seminal products came out of his head, from the original A60 and Alpha series, early DACs such as the famous Black Box, various great cd players and on to many AV amps that are also rather good at playing music.

That's also the subject of other rants as amplifiers are not cogniscent beings. The electrons don't know if they are playing Bach or the Beatles so why do people say 'it's a good amp for classical' or rock or whatever. Maybe it's just a crap amp? Another story for another time!

Latterly John pioneered the introduction of Class G amplifiers, a layout that starts in Class A for effortless dynamics, and although the company is now part of the Harman Luxury Audio Group he is still a consultant and Arcam still uses Class G in it's better amps. It sounds great but is expensive to manufacturer correctly.

Radia is the first all new Arcam range under Harman stewardship and you can tell. The tooling, finish, packaging and general presentation has a level of professionalism that independent British manufacturers cannot achieve. The sculpted cases look and feel solid while the unique yellow glow around the controls is both fresh and understated, I like it.

So we have 5 products: Three amplifiers, a streamer and a cd player.

The amps are A5 at £ 749, A15 at £ 1099 and A25 at £1499

All have analogue and digital inputs and Bluetooth, all have a phono moving magnet input, the differences lie in the power outputs and the system employed.

The A5 has a 50W Class AB the A15 jumps up to 80W. Please understand that this does not make it any louder!!

It's greater power gives you better dynamics, especially at lower volumes in my opinion.

The A25 is another level of performance again, a short listen will confirm that it is clearer, with more realistic instruments and it's also easier to make out the words and the intonations, that's what you pay for!

Compare these to the best sounding amplifiers at this price range and you wont be disappointed, they outperform the previous generation of Arcam amps and compete with the class leading Rega amps, call in and have a listen for yourself.

The ST5 streamer is a cool slim piece of kit and really well priced too at just £ 799

Previous Arcams were not blessed with the best app but the Connect system solves a lot of this.

Using Spotify Connect or Tidal Connect is a breeze to use and sound great, I can see it suiting many people.

The last brick in the wall is a CD player, really a cd player??

Yes and it makes a lot of sense.

Fewer manufacturers are making cd players and you end up with a choice between a cheap as chips piece of rubbish and rarefied air of hand-built units at over £2k.

Many people still have cd collections and want to use them so there is a ready market as their old players give up.

This will be my top recommendation for a cd player sub £ 1000, and it's only £ 699

Radia is a new beginning for Arcam and one that puts them back in the forefront. While there are several brands doing well in this price range Arcam have always been one of the best and this fresh new style and sound puts them back up there.

So there you have it, a real return to form that will make John Dawson proud

Maybe he owes me another lunch!

NEW Rega AYA speakers

Wow !

These look great and at a glance might seem like any other speaker however there is a load of new thinking has gone in over a 10 year development cycle.

Wood cabinets are not only expensive they are not a perfect solution for stopping vibrations.

This new enclosure of glass fibre reinforced cement improves the sound performance and keeps costs down. Like a natural stone each GRC cabinet is unique. It has random micropores that add to the look and the feel of the enclosure and the unique moulding/casting process is Patent applied for.

The glass fibres in the construction simultaneously reduce weight and increase structural integrity.

There is also a new drive unit configuration with 3 drive units and a 2.5 way crossover giving controlled bass along with accurate and detailed midrange and treble. Rega assure us that the sound is special!

We will be delivering the Ayas from late October priced at £ 1499 per pair.

Can't wait

NEW Sonus Faber Duetto Active Speakers

So we know that Sonus Faber make beautifully crafted loudspeakers with curved cabinets and wonderful sounds.

And we also know that it is now possible to have a complete system with amplifiers built in to the speakers and make it sound good.

It should not be a shock then that these two facts have come together!

The technology and operating system from the cool Sonus Faber Omnia all in one box powers the Duetto allowing you to use all your favourite apps, Spotify, Tidal, Apple, BBC Sounds and it 's very intuitive to use.

Sound performance is exceptional, small boxes with a big sound.

They are like a Sonnetto with the system inside!

These are now on demonstration in store, drop us a line to arrange a listen and we'll have them ready for you, you'll love them.

oh, almost forgot , £ 3499

NAIM NAIT 50

NAIT 50 | Naim Audio

If you're old enough to remember the original Naim Nait1 from around 1983 then you will recognise this picture.

It is NOT a Naim Nait 1 though, it is a Naim Nait 50 built to celebrate 50 years of Naim Audio in a limited edition run of 1973 examples.

When I first heard of this I thought why would I buy a Nait1 for £ 2699 when life has moved on and there are far better amplifiers around now?

There is a reason though, this is NOT a Nait1, or even close to it !

It is way way better

It is still low power at 25wpc, more than the original yet still keeping that punchy immediate sound of early Naim gear.

Added is a touch of class and refinement making this a very desirable piece of kit

Yes the input selectors still make that satisfyingly clunky sound but they now connect to a rear switch like many other Naim models. They've added a headphone amp from the NSC222, a discrete phono stage and circuit topography from a NAP 250

This is a serious piece of 2023 kit in a 1983 suit of clothes, audition and order early, these won't sit about for long
