Called out last night to hear a newly installed Linn/Naim system, which the client, Chris, did himself no problem. The Naim SuperUniti is currently running from a laptop for music storage and controlled by an iPad. Next a separate nas drive will be added so that the laptop isnt needed. Speakers were the Linn compact Majik 109 bookshelves on the matching Linn stands.

A  lovely big open plan room with kitchen/dining and living area all in one would usually mean floorstanders but the litt le Linns are singing! We didn't run the system really loud, and didnt need to as you can hear everything at reaonable levels. Even with the SuperUniti only a few hours old and not yet 'run in' the sound was open and musical with no trace of any digital harshness. Delightful sound!

Sinead O'Connor's voice is so emotive on a system like this. With all the hype it's easy to forget that she has such a beautiful voice.

Future Naim upgrade of adding a power amplifier will give more detail and control, even at reasonable volume levels. Thanks Chris
